Cards Not Scanning in Stores

This is the most common issue users experience: the barcode won't scan at the checkout. Try these fixes in order:

Quick Fixes (Try These First)

1. Use Scanning Mode
Tap on the barcode to display it at both the top and bottom of your screen. This dual positioning works with almost any fixed POS scanner.

2. Increase Screen Brightness
Set your screen to maximum brightness. Some scanners require very bright screens to read properly. Swipe down from the top of your screen to access brightness controls quickly.

3. Clean Your Screen
Wipe away smudges, fingerprints, or dust using a soft cloth. Make sure the barcode area is crystal clear.

4. Hold Your Phone Steady
Keep your phone still while the scanner reads. Don't move until you hear the beep. If the scanner is handheld, let the clerk move it, not your phone.

5. Try Different Angles
Tilt your phone slightly forward or backward, rotate 90° if needed, move closer or further from the scanner, and let the scanner laser hit the barcode at different angles.

6. Check Screen Protector
Thick or matte screen protectors can interfere with scanning. Temporarily remove it and try scanning. If it works, consider a thinner or glossier screen protector.

7. Verify the Card
Make sure the card was scanned (not manually entered), compare SuperCards barcode to your physical card, check that the barcode type matches, and verify numbers match exactly. If the barcode looks different, delete and re-scan the card.
